Janet Bouma is a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA), a Regional Director for the Institute for Divorce Financial AnalystsTM nationally, and is the Managing Member for J. Bouma & Associates, LLC, in Pittsburgh, PA. As a practicing CDFA for the past six years, she has worked with hundreds of spouses and their attorneys, and/or mediators, assisting her clients in the equitable distribution process of divorce.

Janet's areas of expertise include divorce financial planning-- providing financial illustrations and projections for Equitable Distribution, QDRO preparation, Present Value Pension Calculations, Budget Preparation, Asset Analysis and expert court testimony. In addition, Janet's associates provide expertise in the areas of forensic accounting, taxation, business valuations, and real estate evaluations.

Janet has presented numerous seminars at local colleges on Preparation for Divorce and is a regular guest on the weekly radio show, Dealing With Divorce, KQV AM, 1410 on the dial in Pittsburgh. Janet brought the national program, Second Saturday, What Every Woman Needs to Know About Divorce, to the YWCA in Pittsburgh, and is the financial expert in the monthly program. Janet is also a Resource Provider for the Life Planning Service for women, Single Step Strategies--in the South Hills of Pittsburgh and her column, Divorce Without Going Broke, appears regularly in The North Hills Monthly Magazine.

Janet has worked in the financial services industry for over 23 years--as a stockbroker, a government bond trader, and a financial advisor, and is a partner in the firm, Midway Financial, LLC, in Upper St. Clair. For over ten years, she has presented numerous educational workshops for women on managing and investing their money. She holds a B.A. from Chatham College, and has all the appropriate investment and insurance licensing credentials. In addition, Ms. Bouma is a trained family mediator, specializing in Equitable Distribution Mediations.




Patricia Adair Morgan has been involved in the financial and business world of Pittsburgh for over 25 years. Pattie was one of the first female traders in Pittsburgh, specializing in option trading. Patti also has extensive investment analysis experience.

Pattie's investment knowledge and experience is expertly utilized at J. Bouma & Associates in her position of Paraplanner. In this capacity, Pattie analyzes a client's tax returns, investment and financial statements; she then enters the client's financial data into our unique divorce financial planning software, in order to develop an equitable distribution financial strategy.

Pattie, Janet and Brian all work together to review and analyze each client's situation and come up with several financial strategies that are acceptable, not only short-term but until a client's age 90.

Patti's background and experience also include owning two Kids' Consignment Store, in Mt. Lebanon and Upper St. Clair. Pattie also is responsible for bookkeeping and accounting at Adair Associates, a home health care agency, also in Mt. Lebanon.

Pattie is a wife and mother and has volunteer experience that includes Founding Vice President, Friends of Mt. Lebanon Percussion; Past CCD Instructor, Our Lady of Grace; Past PTA President, Hoover Elementary School in Mt. Lebanon; and the Allegheny College Parents Association.

Pattie has a BA from the University of Pittsburgh, where she majored in economics.
